Tapping, also known as Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT), is a gentle self-care modality that works along the meridians in the human energy body.

This modality can shift and soften feelings of tension, stress, anxiety, overwhelm, and other big emotions. It can also be used to enhance feelings of calm, happiness and joy.

It can be used anytime. It is a modality that, once learned, an individual can use in part or as a whole routine to support a self-care routine.

Tapping in 

In this work, the your energy body is engaged along the meridians when you gently tap specific locations in order on your hands, head, neck and torso with your own fingertips.

When coupled with statements relating to the acknowledgement of the current emotional state and the intended change of state, a subtle shift and ease in the original state is often felt.

There are so many benefits to this work, including support and some ease of stress, anxiety, overwhelm, sorrow, loss and grieving.

In order for tapping to be most successful, feeling safe and present are important. From there, meditation, breathwork, and/or journaling can help address thoughts and emotions and can be a way to get deeper into root causes for feelings of unease.
