I’m so glad you found me here! There’s a lot to explore and I want to share a bit about where it’s coming from.

I've been a creative and teacher all my life, though I didn’t know to call myself those things until well into adulthood. Some of my past “seasons” (for me, years-long stretches) were dedicated to bodywork/energy healing with massage therapy clients or full time public school teaching.

A little about me...

Until 2023, the bodywork and public school teaching career tracks ran parallel. I spent several years pursuing one or the other full time, then switched. It probably looked disjointed, but it felt right to manage both that way. In late 2023, I started a leave of absence from teaching.

I was surprised to find myself tying up several loose ends in both careers. For bodywork, I was trained in Craniosacral therapy (including for infants! Game changer.) For teaching, I finished requirements to be a reading specialist. I had been a special education (SpEd) teacher for a decade, so this meant I was leaving SpEd. Closing cycles, ending contracts.

Client Testimonial

“Katie’s concern for my well-being is one of the qualities that sets her apart from other practitioners."

I have also been an artist all this time, starting with clay and mixed media as a teen, then photography, drawing and painting. I’ve played with fiber and collage, done a little sewing, tried to learn to knit and crochet (ha). For me, sometimes art making is a catalyst for deeper healing.

Music has also been a catalyst for my deeper work, whether listening to it while making art or spending time at the piano.
